How ContentFries affiliate tracking work?

When someone clicks on your affiliate link to visit our website, a tracking cookie is set on their device. However, this visit won't immediately show up on your affiliate dashboard.

The reason for this is because we have two different domains for our website: https://www.contentfries.com and https://store.contentfries.com. The first domain contains information about our business and services, while the second domain is where users can make purchases or manage their membership.

To track a referral to your affiliate account, the following steps need to happen:

Someone clicks on your affiliate link, which sets a tracking cookie on their device for 30 days.
They visit the pricing page on our store.domain.com website.
They choose some option from the pricing (now the visit will appear in your dashboard).

Once these steps are completed, and the visitor complete the purchase, the referral will show up in your affiliate dashboard.

However, there are situations where a conversion may not be tracked. For example:
- If the user visits our website via your link but later purchases on a different device where they didn't click on your link.
- If the user returns to our website through another affiliate's link.
- If a browser extension blocks the tracking cookie from being set.

How to I know how well my promotion work?

If you want to know how well your affiliate promotion is performing, we suggest following these steps:

Use a link shortener like bit.ly to monitor how many people click on your affiliate link. This will give you an idea of how many visitors are coming from your promotion.
Check your affiliate profile's "visits" information to see how many of those visitors actually made it to the order form on our website. This will help you judge how effective your promotion is at getting visitors to our website.
Use the "referrals" metric in your affiliate profile to calculate how many of those visitors actually completed a purchase. This will help you calculate your conversion rate, or the percentage of visitors who make a purchase after clicking your affiliate link.

By following these three steps, you can get a good idea of how successful your affiliate promotion is and make adjustments as needed to improve your results.

We hope this explanation makes it easy to understand how our affiliate program works. If you have any questions or concerns, please don't hesitate to contact us.
