How to setup the ContentFries WordPress Integration
Want to turn your video content pieces into blog posts? Great! ContentFries can help you do just that.
STEP 1: Click the "Menu Items" button on your dashboard.

STEP 2: In the Menu Items section, click the "Edit" button in the WordPress Blog context.

STEP 3: Click the "Add integration" button in the Integration section.

STEP 4: Download the JSON Basic Authentication WordPress plugin. This is the same plugin that is used by the widely popular automation service called Make (formerly Integromat), which is like Zapier on steroids.
You need to install and activate this plugin created by the WordPress REST API Team in order to allow ContentFries to post blog posts on your behalf.

PLEASE NOTE: In the future, we will release our own plugin to make the integration simpler and more powerful.
STEP 5: Install and activate the plugin in the admin section of your WordPress blog

STEP 6: Create application password for ContentFries.
Go to users and find or create user with valid permissions to write posts.

Anyone with the Admin, Moderator, or Author WordPress role should suffice. Click "Edit" to create app password for user of your choice.

In the Application Passwords section, type in ContentFries to the "New Application Password Name" field and click "Add new application password".
Then copy the generated password and proceed to the next step.
STEP 7: Go back to ContentFries and finish the integration.

In the Username and Password fields, add a username and password of the user for which you generated the application password in the previous step. Please use e-mail of that user, NOT his username, as the integration is not working with usernames. Paste application password to the Password field.
In the WordPress site URL field enter your domain URL WITHOUT the /wp-admin. Do not add anything after the domain name.
If everything is done correctly, you will see the Success message appear. Please make sure you pass the correct credentials, otherwise, the integration will not work.

Done! If you would like to test your integration, follow the steps below.
Your WordPress blog is now connected and you can publish your blog posts directly from ContentFries. How do you do that?
STEP 1: In the context editor, click the "EXPORT" column in the Captions tool. Then, click "Publish to WordPress".

STEP 2: Choose WordPress integration and set your title, slug, content, etc. We recommend that you set your status to "DRAFT" if you're testing the integration for the first time, so you can see how it works.

For now, you need to set your categories, tags and featured images in WordPress manually, but we will add support for these options soon.
Don't miss the "**Load captions**" button, where you can add your video transcript into your blog post content with just one click.
