Manually adjusting text duration
Manually adjusting text duration can come in handy if you want a text to appear during a certain part of the video.
Choose any text by clicking on it or choosing it in the layers section, as shown in the following picture:

Now, navigate your cursor on the timeline to the point where you want the text to appear and press CTRL+I.
Once done, navigate your cursor on the timeline to the point where you want it to disappear and press CTRL+O.
Now your text should be displayed in the Layers Panel as follows:

An alternative method is to drag the purple outline of any text layer in Layers Panel, as shown in the following picture:

Now, navigate your cursor on the timeline to the point where you want the text to appear and press CTRL+I.
Once done, navigate your cursor on the timeline to the point where you want it to disappear and press CTRL+O.
Now your text should be displayed in the Layers Panel as follows:
